Early Intervention / Prevention Cognitive Lifeskills Courses
Since 1975 we have developed evidence-based cognitive life skills courses. Now we have infused our cognitive restructuring model into early intervention and prevention courses.
Case Study
More than 200 Chilton County High School ninth graders (pictured in Tiger Stadium at CCHS) went through a Positive Life Skills program this semester, which was offered through the SPAN Program of Chilton County in conjunction with the Department of Youth Services. Pictured with the students are program leader Teal Dick, director of the Alabama Family Resource Center; Chief Juvenile Probation Officer George Ramsey for Chilton County District Court Judge Rhonda Hardesty; CCHS Vice Principal D.J. Nix; and Jacob Knight, owner of The UPS Store in Clanton.
Refer Students and Parents with
Lifeskills Link
Experience the easy-to-use web based referral system – Lifeskills Link. Students can easily be enrolled into an early intervention / prevention life skills course and choose to complete the course through the mail or online. Participating schools can easily track each enrolled students progress and receive emails regarding the students activity including the ability to view the students typed in responses. Schools can choose to submit referrals that require the student and family to purchase the course or the school and choose to cover the cost of each course. Volume-based discounts apply for schools who pre-purchase courses in bulk. This is an ideal option that includes parents or guardians in the cognitive-behavioral change process for their student. The Lifeskills Link program is an appropriate way for the school to respond and address the underlying at risk thinking and at risk behaviors which undermine the students’ academic and social progress.
eLearning
ACCI’s robust Learning Managing System provides the opportunity for schools to have their own customized portal access to our entire catalog of eLearning courses and integrated Lifeskills Link platform. This option is ideal for school-wide or district-wide intervention or cognitive-behavioral change programs.
